Ekphrastic poetry is a form of poetry inspired by a work of visual art. Find a new way to express your experience of art.
Ekphrastic poetry is a form of poetry inspired by a work of visual art. It involves using written language to describe, interpret, or reimagine a painting, sculpture, photograph, or other visual medium. Ekphrastic poems can explore the artwork's themes, colors, composition, or the emotions it evokes in the writer. Feel free to bring works of art that inspire you. We will also have lots of art books available to use as your muse.
Workshop is open to teens and adults (ages 15 and up).
Registration required! Refreshments served. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
