Uncover local history with the Chevy Chase Historical Society!
Get to know this local history non-profit, while learning about important people, places, and events in the African American history of the Chevy Chase Maryland area. CCHS research on this topic has recently been presented at a local history conference.
Maryland and Montgomery County began officially recognizing Juneteenth as a holiday in 2021. This year, our county Juneteenth Celebration will be held on the afternoon of Sat. June 21 at the Black Rock Center in Germantown.

The Chevy Chase Historical Society Director will be on hand to offer an overview of resources available at the Historical Society and let you know when the CCHS Archive and Research Center is open to the public.
