A "Magic Tree House" Book Club for 2nd and 3rd Graders!

Children in 2nd or 3rd grade (ages 7-9) are invited to join Maggie Nightingale Library's new "My First Book Club," where they will build literacy skills and the foundations of a lifelong love of reading!

During the first meeting, on June 11th at 4:00 p.m., participants are invited to listen as we read the first short chapter of Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark, the first book in the Magic Tree House chapter book series by Mary Pope Osborne. This will be followed by a fun, enriching activity.

Participants are then invited to check out the book to read for the following month's meeting, and will receive a special bookmark to take home! Each month we will continue on with the Magic Tree House chapter book series, tracking our progress and discussing the adventures of Jack and Annie!

Parents/caregivers must accompany children under the age of 8 during the program. Library program attendance is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
