Celebrate Nowruz at Olney with guest storyteller Arsia Rozegar!

Celebrate Nowruz at Olney with guest storyteller Arsia Rozegar! He will present a retelling of a fantastic tale of Ancient Iran, inspired by Ferdowsi's 10th-century epic poem Shahnameh. Crafts and other fun activities are included.

This is a free family event appropriate for all ages, especially toddlers, preschoolers, and young children.

Born in Tehran, Iran and raised in the Washington DC Metro area, Arsia Rozegar always had a passion for heroes, mythology and creativity.  For years, his professional work was seen on comic book pages as a Color Artist for titles such as Marvel's Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk.  His most recent effort, however, is as a children's book author on Shahnameh For Kids, an illustrated series based on ancient Persian mythology from Ferdowsi's 10th-century epic poem, The Shahnameh.  

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
