Free tax preparation assistance will be available February 3 – April 15, 2025 for low-to-moderate income Montgomery County taxpayers with special attention to older adults.

Free tax preparation assistance will be available February 3 – April 15, 2025 for low-to-moderate income Montgomery County taxpayers with special attention to older adults. Trained volunteers through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program will provide services on Fridays at the Maggie Nightingale Library, in the meeting room.

Services are by appointment only; book by March 2, 2025 to guarantee availability. Scheduling for tax appointments will open on January 27, 2025 and can be made online at www.taxaidemc.info or by calling 240-777-2577 (phone lines open Monday – Friday from 9am-4pm).

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
