Build confidence and read one-on-one with a therapy dog! For kids ages 5-10 who have some ability to read aloud on their own.
We have a limited number of available time slots. Readers can sign up for a time slot starting at 4:15 p.m. at the Information Desk. Each reader will have ten minutes to read one-on-one with the therapy dog. We encourage each child to participate independently without their adult or sibling(s), but we understand that some children feel more comfortable with their grown up.
Read to a Dog programs provide elementary-aged children with a chance to practice reading aloud and building their confidence during one-on-one reading sessions with a certified therapy dog. Bring your own book or choose one from our collection! Children can read books in any language they would like to practice in.
