Learn how to STOP THE BLEED and gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding.
A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. The number 1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. That’s why we want to train you how to stop the bleed. In this class, teens will gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding.
What is Stop the Bleed?
The "Stop the Bleed" program was developed to train people on the basic techniques of controlling and stopping a life-threatening bleed. The program is designed to work in any situation where there might be a bleeding emergency — not just in the event of an active-shooter situation. This one-hour training will give participants the confidence and skills to stop a life-threatening bleed and save someone's life.
