People Animals Love (and their dogs) come to the Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library so children can read to dogs!
People Animals Love, a nonprofit organization, is back to help children with their language and reading skills! Each child will have the ability to read out loud to a dog to improve their reading skills. Registration not required. Every second Saturday from 2-3pm, 5th floor reading nook.
**REGISTRATION REQUIRED** Registration will open two weeks before the program and will close one day before the program. Registrants will be able to read to dogs first come, first served, but will have priority over non-registered readers.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
Accommodation Requests
People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
