Have you wondered how Mah Jongg is played? Now you can learn! Join us for a four-session class led by Deborah Bloch, an avid Mah Jongg player. This event is held with the Village of North Bethesda.
Mah Jongg is a tile-based game developed in the 19th century in China. It has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century. Similar to the Western card game, Rummy, Mah Jongg is a game of skill, strategy, and luck.
In this class, you will learn American standard Mah Jongg according to US National Mah Jongg rules and new 2024 game card.
Interested parties who own Mah Jongg tile sets are welcome to bring their sets to the class.
