Are you just beginning to read on your own? Are you in Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade? Join White Oak’s My First Book Club! Every month we will read a book together, talk about it, and do a few fun activities. This program does not teach how to read. It is meant to introduce kids to some awesome books for emerging readers, get them excited about books and reading, and to help them develop social skills through interacting with their peers. Registration is required and is limited to children in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades.
This is an independent learning experience. Parents and caregivers will not be present in the program room but must remain in the library building during the program.
Copies of the book will be available at the program. You do not need to read the book before the program. This month's book will be Moose, Goose, and Mouse by Mordicai Gerstein.
