Join us for a special event with the teen authors of Down to Business -- a book about entrepreneurship, by teens and for teens!
The extraordinary authors of Down to Business, Fenley Scurlock and Jason Liaw, got their start in the business world before they reached middle school, Fen through his business making and selling artisanal soaps and whimsical pens, and Jason through his webmaster business. Realizing their schools did not offer the fundamental business education they needed, Fen and Jason decided to fill the knowledge gap themselves by seeking expert advice. They interviewed dozens of business owners, entrepreneurs, and CEOs, collecting the insights and advice that form the core of Down to Business. The book was published this year by prestigious publisher Penguin Random House. Fen and Jason kicked off their book tour at the National Press Club in Washington DC.
Now 17 years old, Fen and Jason aim to provide other teens the tools to succeed in entrepreneurship by harnessing their strengths and mitigating their weaknesses. Come to this event and hear Fen and Jason describe the process of writing and publishing their book, ask them questions, learn about the most important advice they received, and find out what they’re up to today and what their plans are for the future!
