Join teen entrepreneurs Fenley Scurlock and Jason Liaw as they discuss their new book, Down to Business: 51 Industry Leaders Share Practical Advice on How to Become a Young Entrepreneur
Did you know that more than half of all teens say they want to be their own boss? But what does it really mean to be an entrepreneur, and once you have a start-up idea, where do you go from there?
Teen entrepreneurs Fenley Scurlock and Jason Liaw wanted to upskill fast, so they spent their pandemic lockdown interviewing leading innovators, inventors, and executives from multinational businesses, including Shazam, Hydroflask, Jeni’s Ice Cream, IKEA, Cotopaxi, and more. They asked questions every burgeoning exec wants to know: How can I get started? Is college worth it? What skills do I need? How did YOU make it big? Hear from them as they discuss their new book, Down to Business: 51 Industry Leaders Share Practical Advice on How to Become a Young Entrepreneur, published by Penguin Random House. They will share what they learned about starting a business, finding success, and making money, as well as their publishing journey.
There will be a Q&A at the end of the session! Ages 11 and up. Registration is required.
