Story hour just got a lot more glamorous!
Story hour just got a lot more glamorous! Drag Story Hour (DSH) is just what it sounds like! Storytellers using the art of drag to read books to kids in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where everyone can be their authentic selves!
This free family event is appropriate for all ages, especially for children ages 18 months to 10 years with their families.
Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program.
Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
