Join us to learn new strategies to give your students the best opportunity to be admitted and maximize financial aid and scholarships. This in-person program features a virtual speaker.

This past year has resulted in some of the most significant changes to the college planning process in decades:

  • Admission trends have changed around how colleges admit students.
  • Schools have made ACT/SAT optional but not necessarily when they award scholarships, and some colleges are going back to requiring standardized tests.
  • The number of schools on the "more selective" list continues to grow.
  • Substantial changes to the FAFSA and financial aid may make college more expensive.

Join us to learn more about these changes from Heidi King, a nationally recognized expert in college finances who has been featured by Yahoo! Finance and was a keynote speaker at Morningstar World Headquarters. Heidi, who recently navigated the college-planning process with her own sons, will share insights about how these changes may impact your family as well as new strategies for giving your student the best opportunity to be admitted and maximize financial aid and scholarships.

This in-person program will feature Heidi as a virtual speaker and will specifically cover the following topics:

  • College Planning Timeline: Learn when and how to start the process to set your student up for success.
  • Standardized Testing Changes: Stay current with updates to the ACT and SAT.
  • Tuition Trends and Total Costs: Understand the latest shifts in college expenses and financial aid options.
  • Financial Aid Updates: Learn about major new changes impacting upper- and middle-class families.
  • Scholarship Strategies: Discover the best sources for scholarships and ways to maximize them.

Ideal for parents and teens, particularly high school students in grades 9-11, this program is essential for anyone looking to navigate the ever-changing landscape of college planning with confidence.
