Authors Metres and Jacobs will discuss their works Fugitive/Refuge (Metres) and Unalone (Jacobs).
Two poets, two cultures, two books - one cover: a storm of keys over an old wooden boat. Memories? Opportunities? Join a conversation with both poets. In the poetry of Fugitive/Refuge, Metres follows his ancestors from Lebanon to Mexico and the United States. in Unalone, Jacobs’ poems are informed by both Genesis and contemporary life. Metres teaches English at John Carroll University. Jacobs is the founder and executive director of Yetzirah: A Hearth for Jewish Poetry.
