Culture Queen is an award-winning teaching artist, children’s musician, author and arts manager, who creates empowering entertainment for children!
Since 2010, Culture Queen has produced innovative Black History-themed children’s performances, using original and
interactive music, movement, and storytelling to teach them to celebrate their history and love themselves. During her engaging performance, Culture Queen will wow them with her magnetic personality and creative approach to cultural education by inviting children to celebrate everything that makes them who they are.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult, and we ask that adults stay with children in this program up to 13 years as well. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
Accommodation Requests
People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
