Dissect an owl pellet and learn about food webs, energy transfer, and predator-prey interactions. For children ages 4-10 and their families. Online pre-registration (children only) is required.

Dissect an owl pellet and learn about food webs, energy transfer, and predator-prey interactions. Owl pellets are regurgitated by owls, and can include bones, fur, claws, teeth, feathers, plant matter, and more! For children ages 4-10 accompanied by their families. Online pre-registration (children only) is required. This hands-on program will provide children with the opportunity to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve a result. 

We will provide all the materials for this program. Sponsored by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
